Synopsis:
The man next door is waiting.
Film Notes:
Emptyv.org's first official film production. Shot in the month of November
and finally completed sometime after March. "The Neighbor" is a B&W noir
short, shot on Super 8mm film. This was our first attempt at working with
motion picture film. On a budget of about $500 dollars and a small camera
bought at
Savers for only $5. Little did we know the light meter inside the camera
was broken. After two days of shooting and sending our film in to get
processed the result was... nothing. Everything was underexposed. Realizing
this, we managed to re shoot the picture with lots and lots of new lights.
Reorganizing the cast and crew and spending more money on film and
processing, we finished it. See the results of "The Neighbor" mach 2,
available on emptyv.org.
